Some of its attractions include ancient monuments, royal capitals and UNESCO World Heritage sites like Angkor Wat in Cambodia and Luang Prabang in Laos, signifying an illustrious past dating back thousands of years. Explore the Great Mekong River aboard the charming and authentic Mekong River Cruise, Bassac Cruise, a rafting experience or ferry. The cruises and tours below offer a variety of options on traveling on or along the Mekong River.
Day 1: HCM City - Can Tho (L,D)
This morning you will be met at 8.00 am by your driver to begin your journey south into the heart of the Mekong Delta. En route, pass farmers tending their fields and drying their produce on the sides of the road. On arrival at Can Tho (approximately a 4 hour drive) check into your beautiful French colonial style hotel situated on the banks of the Mekong River.
- At leisure to enjoy Can Tho city and Victoria Can Tho by the Mekong River. Tonight we enjoy candlelight dinner at the hotel.
- Overnight at Victoria Can Tho.
Day 2: Can Tho - Mekong River Cuirse (B/L/D)
Morning free. Board our Bassac cruise at Can Tho at Ninh Kieu pier. Welcome drink, introduction to the ship and crew, check into the cabins. Departure downstream of the Hau river. Lunch on board while en route. Tour near Tra On floating market. Branching into Mang Thit river toward Co Chien river. Rest on the upper deck or enjoy the open bar in a scenery of rice fields, sugar cane, woods on the near banks. Visit a village on the banks of river Mang Thit, an opportunity to appreciate the way of life and hospitality of the local inhabitants. Visit an orchard or rice fields nearby. Complimentary drink as a welcome back on board. Open bar and rest on the deck enjoying the sunset. The crew will serve dinner while the Bassac is cruising Mang Thit river toward the anchorage point for the night. The Bassac sets anchor for the night on river Mang Thit.

Day 3: Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh City (B)
6:30 am Bassac cruise sets sail again through the labyrinth of creek and canals towards Cai Be. The passengers take their breakfast while enjoying the scenery on the river banks. The Bassac crosses Co Chien river then branches into Cho Lach canal for 30 minutes in view of boats of sand and rice barges, in a scenery of fruit drying facilities and wooden ship building yards. Arrival in Cai Be, check-out and boarding of a local boat for a tour of Cai Be floating market and handicraft. Pick up at Caibe and drive back to HCM city.
Meal : B = Breakfast; L = lunch; D = Dinner
Departure Date for the trip: on every Tue, Thursday, and Sunday
Tour price includes:
- English or French speaking guide,
- Land transfers by A.C vehicle with driver,
- All accommodation at Victoria on single or double share basis with breakfast,
- Accommodation for one adult passenger in a twin-bed or double-bed cabin on the main deck, with all amenities and a bathroom, on a twin-share basis,
- Lunch and Dinner with a soft drink, and breakfast on board,
- Admission fees and permits where applicable.
Tour price excludes:
- International airport tax in Ho Chi Minh at USD 14.00 nett per person,
- International airfare to/from Vietnam
- Accommodation in Ho Chi Minh City ( can be arranged),

Ce fut le moment le plus dépaysant de notre voyage. Nous avons eu l'impression de goûter davantage à la vie quotidienne des Vietnamiens de cette région. Les scènes des marchés flottant, les habitations sur pilotis, les gens afférés au tâches de chaque jour en contact étroit avec l'eau (lessive, préparation des repas, jeux des enfants, la pêche) nous ont amenés dans un univers tellement différent du nôtre.... Nous n'étions que des observateurs immergés dans le monde quotidien de ce merveilleux peuple vietnamien.
